Who Are the Owners?

The co-founders of GBN are Tyrone Turner and Lisa Torres. Felicia Richardson is the sole employee that lends back-office administrative support to the co-founders.

How We Help

We help our clientele put the pieces together. This is done creating environments that are conducive to networking (face-to-face and over the phone) and the teaching of specific skills, how to use certain tools, and 1-on-1 coaching to develop a customized system to help them accomplish their business goals. We will be releasing an ebook on effective networking and follow-up in the fall of 2010. We are also rather fond of a select few tools that we use to grow our business, so we actively market those tools as an independent broker.

Our Featured Product

Our featured product are legal expense plans offered by Pre-Paid Legal Services. We are Independent Sales Associates with the company. A prepaid legal plan does for legal fees what an HMO does for doctor bills and hospital bills. The cool thing is that you can access to all kinds of legal services for less than the cost of a bottle of water per day.

Our Networking Events

We hold three (3) types of networking events: Face-to-face networking events; Webcam / video chat networking events; and Speed Over-the-Phone networking events. The face-to-face events are generally held quarterly (sometimes more frequently) and the over-the-phone events are held at least twice per month each month. We also have an audio podcast / Internet radio show that features a uniquely qualified expert or an up-and-coming small business success story. The intention of the podcast is to inspire and educate our listeners.

Face-to-Face Networking Events

We usually have an expert panel and/or a keynote speaker to discuss best practices that will benefit all attendees. At times, we have predetermined discussion points and have a moderated ‘Round Table Discussion’ on a given topic. Your local chamber of commerce uses a version of this model, but unlike some chamber events, our events are welcoming to sole proprietors and home-based business owners. We’re bringing solopreneurs from all over the country together for organized, webcam / video chat networking events using a “pitch party” format. A pitch party is when everyone takes a turn giving their one-minute “elevator pitch” so that others can better understand what they are selling, to whom they are selling, and the benefits of their product or service.
